collaborative writing
Remove from a text, by the handful.
Then, fill its mouth with words,
and wait for it to fight back.
An invitation
-
1. Give us a name
Your own, or a pseudonym—and a short bio, real or imagined. -
2. Explore
Climb a story tree . Read through the leaves. Let your feet swing off a branch . Each branch is a new version, written by a new friend—or rival. -
3. Add your voice
Each version is both an homage and a transgression. Find your balance. -
4. Mark your path
Leave a mark on the texts that mark you, as you wander. Somewhere, a version will feel right — to everyone.
-
Go first
Plant a handful of words, watch them stretch up and out, and follow them until you end up somewhere uncharted. -
Take it slow
You can cobble together a sentence or two, and hold it invisibly in your hands . Part your fingers for a friend or two, keep the scribbles to a whisper. -
Need a guide?
We’ve drawn you a map. . You can pull it out at any time—or fold us a note of your own.
About Tag You Write
Tag You Write is an evolving experiment in writing as play. It's a space where short texts can be shaped and reshaped by different hands, until the process becomes etched into the text, and it finds its own voice. It's a space for offering a small text — not to the hive mind, nor the artificial one, but to a few singular, imperfect minds, for revision, erasure, and surprise. There's no single right path. Tag You Write tries to clear the way for many — and for the journeys they might incite.
Created by Melisandre Schofield, a writer and web developer with a background in visual arts and experimental narrative. She builds tools and experiences that bring people together — not just to write, but to play, surprise one another, and rediscover the strange alchemy of shared imagination.
